Whether it's assisting frustrated people through a decision making process, creating a respectful and effective meeting or retreat, raising awareness of cultural differences, or matching a professional with the right coach, I feel honored to have crossed paths with our clients and with my capable team of associates. |
My own learning has occurred through each of the 700 plus mediations and facilitations I have successfully conducted. In addition, the theoretical basis for methods and perspective is drawn from my Masters Degree in Intercultural Relations from the University of the Pacific and the hundreds of hours contributed in trainings, workshops and mediations to the Dispute Resolution Center. I hold certifications to mediate from the United States Postal Service, the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, the WA Mediation Association. I am on the roster for the Seattle Office of Civil Rights.
Professional memberships include SIETAR and the WA Mediation Association.

I
facilitate the transformation of new and established companies
to help them realize the full potential and vision of the
organization and its leaders. My work experience includes
market development and competitive analysis, executive sales,
leadership coaching, and organization attunement. Tools include
individual coaching, strategic planning, visionary |
leadership,
and selling for the customer, all aimed at personal balance
and improved business results. |
Following graduation with an engineering degree, I learned
what I know about leadership and business from professional
and executive roles at Procter and Gamble, Industra (an engineering
company I founded), and ThermoChem, a renewable energy technology
company.
Today I enjoy providing executive coaching and market development
for selected clients, including a media startup company, a
marketing consultancy, an industrial parts manufacturer, and
an energy equipment supplier.

Global
and experiential education prepared me with a broad exposure
to the many cultural aspects of communication. My secondary
education in French schools was completed in North and West
Africa. As a student I had the privilege of living among
and learning the customs of the people of the region. |
My post graduate and professional education, followed by
more than ten years in
the health care industry, have been in urban communities
in the United States.
Choosing
urban settings in which to live, learn and work has expanded
my understanding of the many ways that culture influences
conflict. The growth of our world into a global society
requires shifts in the way we address difficult situations
in personal, professional and public settings.
Whether
with individuals or small groups; a community or corporate
setting; my mediation and facilitation style places the
responsibility with the participant for developing creative
solutions with which they can live. Mediation brings the
tools that allow people to build their bridges of understanding.
